Cost of Living
Overall cost-of-living in the five-county region served by the CGEDA is a real bargain in comparison to the national average, especially when one compares to lower crime rates, and high quality of life present in this area.
Housing costs, in particular, are well below the national average. Alabama has some of the lowest property taxes in the nation, affording you the ability to own more. With the area’s moderate year-round climate, there are also lower utility costs.
